AmBAR hosts a toy drive that provides Bay Area underprivileged children with an impressive number of gifts for the holidays. Thanks to the generosity of the community and all those who donate, year after year we are able to completely meet the needs of the participating nonprofit agencies and provide toys for thousands of local children every holiday season.

Building Blocks is a year-round early intervention preschool, kindergarten and first grade program for children ages 3-7. Most of our students come to us with severe behavioral challenges, often caused by exposure to abuse, neglect, or other environmental factors that influence their social-emotional development.

The goal of our specialized services is to address the behavioral, emotional and developmental challenges of each student in order to prepare them for a less restrictive educational setting. At the same time we provide a rich learning environment to foster pre-academic thinking and growth. All services can be offered in Spanish.

What an entrepreneur learned after 5 years of being a VC

Kirill Sheynkman is the Managing Director of RTP Ventures. Kirill is focused on developing all aspects of the firm's investment strategy in the United States, building the firm's investment team, and creating a portfolio of Cloud, SaaS, Big Data, and Enterprise Infrastructure companies.

Kirill, is a 25-year software industry veteran, who has spent 10 of those years as a CEO of software startups. He is a three-time founder of venture-backed enterprise software companies, including an early relational OLAP vendor acquired by IBM in 1995 and Plumtree Software (NASDAQ: PLUM), the creator of the corporate portal market, acquired by BEA/Oracle in 2005. Kirill's companies were twice backed by Sequoia Capital where he was also an Entrepreneur in Residence. Kirill also held sales, product management, and business development positions at Oracle and Microsoft.

Kirill holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley.
