We’re excited to take our social lives off COVID pause and resume having fun with you!

We’re excited to take our social lives off COVID pause and resume having fun with you! You already saw a few posts about the camp that took place in October. However, what you might not know is that It started with online classes for young people all over the world. We were happy to see a few dozen youths enjoying each other’s company while learning from Mindset Development classes. Because of different cultural backgrounds, new ideas were born, unique points of view were expressed, inspirational dreams were shared, some were serious and some were silly. Guest speakers, who are the best in the startup world, added to the overall joyous atmosphere. Connecting young people with accomplished entrepreneurs is something we are planning to do more of, knowing that it might be life-changing for all!

Staying in bed with a cup of hot tea and having the opportunity to learn from inspiring people is probably the best thing a pandemic did for us. No need to wake up early and get ready, no rush, no driving in traffic. It gave us an opportunity to meet people from all around the world, who are absolutely showstopping in their careers. To be honest, it’s not even necessary to be personally interested in the same field as those professionals. Seeing people being passionate about their jobs and projects is a good reminder that work is more than just a way to make money. It’s a way to create, live and inspire change.

To start the process of building new habits and establishing new thinking patterns, the AmBar students started with online classes. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about yourself, find new connections, get to know your friends better, understand how to build strong teams. We love to create with our friends, knowing how to identify talents in individuals around us is an important skill. The good news is that it can be learned, especially if it’s taught by the best.

Leadership and Mindset development Camp in Tahoe

Rock climbing for the first time, experiencing winter with its first snow in “sunny” California, hiking in Sierra Mountains and being enamored by amazing views of Lake Tahoe, playing with a large dog, and all of it in a timespan of a weekend. Sounds like an amazing weekend, doesn’t it?

I’m scared of heights, so with rock climbing my goal was to climb the wall no higher than my own height or just a bit higher. And that, I have to tell you, ended up being not the scariest part! When you’re done, you literally had to jump down :// That felt like committing a suicide, to be honest. I was standing there for like 15 minutes to gain courage to be able to do this. But I did! Not only did I climb higher than I had in mind, I pushed myself and jumped off. I swear I was thinking of crawling down rock by rock, but it didn’t work out. The thing is, being fearfulI usually goes with “ Oh my, that probably looks so stupid..”, and adds to the emotional toll. But no one from our group judged me, they were cheering me up in a very supportive way, so I had power to try something that actually was terrifying for me.

Physical activities such as climbing and hiking helped me to understand that a lot of thoughts are in my head, they are not real. Jumping off the 6 feet wall is pretty scary, but I did it. Why wouldn’t I be able to do something that up to this point stresses me out? Of course, I can!

Thanks to USRF and @goodlerfoundation, we made Leadership and Mindset development Camp in Tahoe! Four days with our young leaders, peacebuilding activities, workshops and amazing conversations.  This is one of our student’s day in our camp.

Onsite camp is secon part of our Leadership and Mindset development camp

Most of our students come to us with severe behavioral challenges, often caused by exposure to abuse, neglect, or other environmental factors that influence their social-emotional development.

The goal of our specialized services is to address the behavioral, emotional and developmental challenges of each student in order to prepare them for a less restrictive educational setting. At the same time we provide a rich learning environment to foster pre-academic thinking and growth. All services can be offered in Spanish.

Pavel Asoyan about Internet of Things (IoT) and Google

There is the potential for 50 billion connected devices by 2020. When it comes to building up clout in an emerging industry, Google pulls out all the stops. And doing that usually involves spending lots of money. Google is making major investments right now, building up an innovation and research program dedicated to the nascent collection of products and technologies collectively known as the Internet of Things (IoT).
