AmBAR is pleased to announce the launch of its first annual investment conference - Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD). The Conference will take place at Quadrus Conference Center on Sand Hill Road and at Stanford University on November 14-16, 2005.

The main goal of the Conference is to attract investments in high technology companies from Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries; assist such companies, technology parks, incubators, research institutes, as well as individual entrepreneurs in creating successful high technology products with further expansion into international markets; and help Russian, Ukrainian, and CIS investors identify partners among US venture capital firms.

The program will include companies’ exhibits, individual training sessions, and seminars conducted by the leading venture capitalists, Stanford GSB faculty, US lawyers and experts in the areas of finance, business development, and general management on creating high technology ventures, developing business plans, structuring deals, raising financing, and transferring intellectual property. Representatives of some of the major Silicon Valley companies will speak about partnership opportunities.

Russian/CIS technology companies will have a unique opportunity to present their businesses to the US venture capitalists and potential corporate partners. There will be a special program for Russian, Ukranian, other CIS countries investors as well as sessions designed for University Presidents from Russia/CIS covering the issues of commercialization of scientific ideas, based on Silicon Valley experience.

The conference will provide unparalleled resources for building partnerships between the US and Russia, Ukraine, other CIS countries technology ventures and venture capital investors. There will be an extensive social program that will include meetings at the leading high technology companies.
