Job Description:

The desired individual must have experience in support and maintenance of data warehouse environments in both the ETL and reporting side. The person must possess strong technical knowledge and experience with data marts, oracle databases and UNIX. The preferred candidate will have strong experience any BI reporting tool such as Brio/Hyperion Designer, Business Objects; Crystal reports etc. The candidate will be the single point of contact for all user requests, issues and enhancements regarding the data warehouse. The candidate will be required to co-ordinate with teams of the associated source systems such as SAP/CRM for new enhancements. The candidate must have the ability to complete assigned projects on time, which includes, but is not limited to providing analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, and documentation. The candidate must be able to identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate complex problems to Management in accordance with established escalation procedures; track resolution through problem solving cycles and provide resolution to trouble tickets within established timeframes.

The candidate will need to be prepared to participate in a 24 x 7 on-call support model.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and administer the data warehouse reporting portal application, associated web sites and interface scripts and applications.
Provide recommendations to users to extract data in an effective manner from ad-hoc reporting tools
Create interactive dashboards for management reporting with existing data in the datawarehouse.
Create UNIX scripts for new interfaces to applications
Troubleshoot and resolve data issues with reports to identify potential errors in source system extraction or ETL loading programs
Pro-actively resolve performance problems with reports and ETL load programs.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements, identify/resolve issues, and guarantee that we have timely deliverable that will help our client.
Manage and support a Change Control process
Coordination and oversight of maintenance and changes to the production environment
Coordinate documentation efforts
Support and administer various custom built business applications and web servers.
Provide on-call support for load program failures, application downtime etc. on a 24x7 basis
Ensure that products and services meet our client's overall satisfaction objectives

Technical Skills:

Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a data warehouse environment
Experienced in ETL and reporting side of data warehouses.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL and stored procedures
Minimum of 2 years experience in UNIX shell scripting and working on UNIX environments
Must have experience in web presentation of data warehouse reports.
Experience with Java script and administering web servers is desired
Experience with any BI reporting tool such as Brio/Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.

· Must be accustomed and adept at working on various projects simultaneously, ensuring the integrity of each project

· Experience with offshore model is desirable.
