Network Administrator at iNetFrame Solutions LLC, San Jose, CA

Job Description:

The desired individual must have extensive experience in administering and developing large Network environments. The person will possess strong technical leadership skills with a solid knowledge and experience with all layers in the OSI model with an emphasis on layers 1-4. The preferred candidate will have strong Internet VPN platform experience; have the ability to troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN environments. The candidate will assist in security design, process development and improvement, new customer implementations, and be actively involved with troubleshooting in extremely diverse environments. The candidate must have the ability to complete assigned projects on time, which includes, but is not limited to providing analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, and documentation. The candidate must be able to identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate complex problems to Management in accordance with established escalation procedures; track resolution through problem solving cycles and provide resolution to trouble tickets within established timeframes.

Work with a Network team to administer our customers Network infrastructure and implement new solutions. The candidate will need to be prepared to participate in a 24 x 7 support model.

Job Responsibilities:

· Administer/Manage multi-platform network equipment with an emphasis on Cisco IOS for router/switches, PIX firewall as well as Juniper/Netscreen ScreenOS and Checkpoint Software, HP Alteon Load balancers.

· Provide network design, configure and manage routers/switches/firewall/VPN concentrators during implementations

· Troubleshoot and resolve network problems using standard monitoring tools and troubleshooting applications such as Ethereal.

· Help design new technical solutions and then implement those solutions

· Identify all security issues with regards to networks under management and respond to those issues accordingly

· Manage and support a Change Control process

· Coordination and oversight of maintenance and changes to the production environment

· Coordinate documentation efforts

· Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, identify/resolve technical issues, and guarantee that we have timely security information that will help protect all our client's systems

· Ensure that products and services meet our client's overall satisfaction objectives

· Provide statistical information upon request in relation to network and security activities.

Technical Skills:

· Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated networking experience in a large-scale environment

· Experienced in network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of network infrastructure

· Has an understanding of cabling standards, IP address management, VPN, Firewall, load-balancing, network security, and network management platforms.

· Develop network architecture and documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, etc for the design, management and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN/Wireless, VPN concentrators and Firewalls

· Experience in configuring and installing technologies such as switched Ethernet and various routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and basic BGP)

· Experience defining and implementing best practices network security.

· Current CCNP or equivalent knowledge desired.
