If you may be aware that there is a shortage of Web UI developers who are well versed in AJAX. This shortage has been brought about by the growth of Web 2.0 companies and products. Companies are reacting to this skills shortage in two ways. First, they pay considerably higher salaries to people with AJAX experience. Second, if they can't find experienced staff, they will hire people with interest and potential and give them training in AJAX. Below are four searches we are currently trying to fill where the companies are looking for AJAX developers but are willing to train capable candidates who have relevant Web UI development experience using such tools as Java, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, Python, ASP, VBScript, etc.

1. Senior Web Developer, Sunnyvale

Help stretch the absolute limits of AJAX technology and rich client application development at one of the most promising new startups in the Bay Area. This is an early stage venture that would provide you with a significant stock package and have you working on a leading edge AJAX application.

2. Senior Web UI Developer, San Francisco

Design and implement the user experience for high end Web-based advertising using AJAX, JavaScript and JSP. The company is a profitable top design company with a strong creative streak taking Web 2.0 to the extreme.

3. Web UI Developer, San Mateo

Fast-growing (100% per year) business networking Web site is looking for a Web UI developer who is proficient in JavaScript, CSS and HTML to build rich Web sites using AJAX. The company is well-funded and has grown from 38 to 65 employees in the last 12 months.
