Position Responsibilities
==================
This role assumes a self-motivated, hands-on, technical Manager (possibly Director level), who will be building and leading a world-class QA team to build quality into the 4HomeMedia software platform as well as into variety of systems and applications running on top of it.
- Manage day-to-day QA department activities, coordinate resources, project execution, and be personally involved as a contributor to specific projects and customer interactions.
- Work closely with the Engineering team and ensure proper releases into QA
- Track the test progress, manage bugbase stats, and provide status reports
- Establish and maintain QA policies and best practices; ensure the quality of QA practices.
- Manage QA lab: coordinate installation and configuration of test devices for Home Control and Media Management ecosystems.
- Increase the company test automation coverage for repetitive procedures and test cases
- Regularly participate in reviews of product requirements and customer interactions in order to create a successful robust product
- Become one of the key players in beta test coordination and customer lab submissions
- Be involved in Tier-3 customer support during product evaluations, trials and launch, and when necessary take the lead role to ensure the product acceptance.
Position Requirements
=================
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience in Engineering, QA, or similar role
- Excellent communication and organization skills, ability to provide clear and comprehensive test and status reports to the management team.
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to drive projects towards the deadline while they are in the QA phase.
- Good understanding of operating systems, networking, debugging and troubleshooting tools and utilities; ability to set up test equipment and environments, base-lining practices.
- Knowledge of Home Control and Media Management products and associated test procedures and practices is a plus.
